Would you wear a belt made of human skin? What about a coat? Unless you're Leatherface, the answer is probably no. So why wear the skin of any animal?

Noted- but still I wonder what happens to the hide of all the beef my cats eat.

signed. Well, Nyack, if only cats and such ate the meat, a lot fewer animals would be slaughtered. It would change the face of all this factory farming anyhow.

Signed and noted. Never wear leather or any other skin but my own. I read somewhere ages ago that dogs can be vegetarian but cats cannot.

Jan Garen is correct. Dogs can be vegetarian, but cats cannot--at least not yet. But it is possible that if more people went veg cat food manufacturers would be more inclined to do comprehensive research into plant-based diets that fulfill cats nutritional needs

fake leather is made of chemicals and oils. but I read is a "lesser evil" to the hide of a cow, which the meat was eaten from.

Noted! I see a problem with the killing, but not with the bi-products of it. Since the cows are killed for the meat, the skin becomes such bi-product and it would be a waste not to use. all our production, non-animal productions as well, leaves foot--print on earth and by using bi-products it will benefit to reduce of the foot-prince. thanks Cher for sharing because it is such importan discussion.
