RIP baby Pancake you certainly were loved. With all due respect to turtle owners, one day my nephew was mowing his lawn and he spotted a box turtle. He showed it to his wife and she fell in love with it and now he lives inside their house. Adam--my nephew--has tried his best to talk sense into her and release him back outside but she won't hear of it. She's afraid it'll get run over. As much as she loves the turtle, she has to let him go. Adam never DREAMED she'd make a pet out of it. She's shortening his life. Thnx Cher.

I had a medium sized turtle when I was a child that we "rescued" from the fish store (he was to be turtle soup, I guess). RIP, Pancake.
