Recently, the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, D.C. upheld a legal settlement that requires the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to decide on the statuses of hundreds of threatened plants and animals. The settlement ensures that the USFWS will

Protect???? The USFWS???? They protect livestock, not wildlife!!!!

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service kills more wildlife unnecessarily than any other service in the U.S and is a puppet for Tom Vilsack in the USDA regarding special interests in livestock grazing

Noted anyway- thank you Cher

Yes I understand it is the court we are thanking Rock-

But this only gives power to individual states to kill wildlife- such as birds, big cats, praire dogs, wolves, coyotes-

To kill them at their own discretion with NO interference from the federal government, because it is up to the state

This is EXACTLY why Sarah Palin was able to start shooting wolves in Alaska in 2008 before they were even officially de--listed from the federal Endangered Species Act- with Governor Butch Otter of Idaho in complete support doing the same thing. They had the blessings of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.

Dont be fooled! It is the United States Wildlife Service that has trapped and killed the Mexican Grey Wolf with fewer than 60 of them remaining in the wild. They SHOULD be on the Federally Protected Endangered Species List. Instead- they are de-listed, so cattle grazing can take place in the Wolf Recovery Area

The court did wildlife no favor- but they did do a favor for cattle ranchers!!!!!

I think Nyack makes a very good point. I did sign but, if states rights continue to supersede both Federal laws and court rulings, what then is accomplished?

This could really lead to some good for the wolves, if they are really serious to reenlist them to endangered species status.
Otherwise, I agree with Nyack.
Thank you Cher for the posting.
