Ethiopia is home to more than 6 million donkeys and while the animal is greatly appreciated, they are also often maltreated. Donkeys are extremely valuable to Ethiopian farmers, and are a main form of transportation in rural communities.

For one of the poorest countries in the world, they have the sense to realize how important these animals are, and is providing free care for these animals. Great story.
