If we could turn back the clock 200 years, we could watch as millions of whales took to their migration routes. Around 150 years ago, we could witness bison filling the vast America prairie or a billion passenger pigeons blotting out the sky for days.

One of the sad truths in this world is that evolution is not always a friendly process and we humans are terrible when it comes to doing anything about it.

This is such a heartbreaking truth to be facing today. As far as I am concerned, there is only one species that could stand a decline in numbers and I think we all know who I mean.

It is tragic that the presence of mankind on this earth has led to such a decline in the number of other species! I hope that we can turn this around before it's too late and many other species become extinct and go the way of the carrier pigeon and many others! Otherwise we will leave a terrible legacy on our great Earth!
