I am horrified. Many of these people are Catholic and revere saints who were martyred in the Colosseums of Rome. St. Ignatius was killed by lions and he declared that God would not hold it against the animals because they did not realize what they were doing. They were simply acting like lions and were put up to it by men. He did however state that the humans would be held accountable to God for their savagery. Where are the priests? "Don't talk the talk if you can't walk the walk." These creatures belong to God and are the innocent victims of man's evil. I have very strong faith in God, but I understand why so many people hate religion. It is professed by hypocrites.

And yes, I believe this will come to an end when the laws are established to end fesitvals that use animals for amusement and abuse. They need to be hit in the pocket in every possible way. Damn it! Just yesterday a law in Mexico city was passed to prosecute and punish with up to 4 years in jail for animal abuse, sadly and shamefully excludes cockfights, rodeos and bull fighting! So it's about punishing the ones that abuse animals and have no money but not the ones that do have money. It's better than nothing but damn and now this. I'm so so ashamed of the abuse that animals suffer in my country, I'm disgusted! Thank you Cher! Can't send you a green star this week but you deserve a hundred for all your work for the animals and the environment!

From South Africa, to Spain and Mexico, the poor bulls have to endure the brutality of the ignorance of evil bastards. Animal cruelty sure is international, I wish humanity was too. There are many groups pf good people fighting in Mexico to end this monstrosity, this week thousands of them got together in protest against this acts in regard bulls. I hope they get the government support, lets not forget that animal torture exist in many forms and in all countries, as for religion I gave up since they are no angels neither.

As always, I think that to keep asking compassion to countries that ignore our call, is loosing time and do not solve the problem. Send PERSONAL letters with photos, info, petitions to groups of conscience, animal institutions, UN's different offices related to animals,, Permanent mission of the countries at the UN, to United Animal, Nations Int, and -----ASK THE EU TO INCLUDE BULLS IN A PROGRAM OF PROTECTION AND OUT OF "ENTERTAINMENT" CLASSIFICATION IF IT CAUSES HARM, FEAR AND OR DEATH!!!!!!! IF SPAIN & FRANCE < (France already recognized bull fighting as a cultural patrimony) protect bulls, if EU pass a law for the NO KILL animals (which is in a petition in this moment) then could have the strengh to ask their business partners -countries that sell in Europe- to be compliant to EU rules,compromises, laws and the will of citizens. We are not different from any other country and we are not really separated from them. If business is done between countries, to be compliant with the rules in those countries we want to sell to, would be the natural and correct thing to do. The money that buys the goods from other countries in the EU, is money from the people that believe in the protection of animals. To keep seeing problems as separated issues because happen in different countries is keeping things running as they are. If we ask for the exercise of WELFARE in a market like the EU , could bring a change for the good to all.
IN THIS MOMENT BAN TO CANADIAN SEAL FUR IN THE EU IS AT RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF IT'S CANCELED, ....we will see a lot more fur in the market. But... seal fur only?

Ugh, it's a disgusting "tradition"/practice that is also increasingly criticized down here. Both Catholicism and bull oriented events started with the invasion of the Spanish some 500 years ago.

The more people that protest and make a stink, the better! Especially if they mention how it impacts tourism, and made them go somewhere else for their holidays... The prospect or real loss of tourism dollars might push the authorities to make the right decision, if for a different reason.
