Lead poses a threat to wildlife, and studies have found that it sickens and kills more than 75 species of birds and nearly 50 mammals. Lead moves through the environment when bullet fragments or lost fishing sinkers are ingested by birds such ascondors

Noted, signed, twittered and google shared. Comment below sent as well. Thanks for Chering.

The loss of so many non-target animals is totally unacceptable. We have far too many endangered animals and birds already without having to worry about lead poisoning killing even more. If you want to hunt or fish, do so responsibly and with respect to the surrounding wildlife and environment.

Noted, tweeted, tweeted, signed, shared, and signed. Now we aren't happy just killing animals through hunting, we want to kill them in dangerous ways that can harm or kill other animals. Sort of like hitting two with the price of one bullet.

What other cheap, soft metal could bullets be made of? Anything harder would put more law enforcement officers and military personnel at risk. Learn the methods of manufacturing the bullets, then make logical suggestions.

I posted a comment and it appears to have disappeared. We must do more to halt all forms of gun violence against animals and humans.

The reality is that, until such time as there is a substitute for lead in bullets, then my earlier comment(now missing) that the use and misuse of bullets could be greatly reduced simply by making them more expensive seems a reasonable step towards reducing the related lead contamination. It was a sincere suggestion.

" Learn the methods of manufacturing the bullets, then make logical suggestions.
