Some great news to start off 2013, as Taiwan passed legislation this week to close its markets to marine mammal products, including seal meat, oil, and fur from Canada's commercial seal hunt.

Great!!! Now you can start focusing on the cat and dog meat industry in your country. Shut it down and prosecute those prospering from this horrendous and cruel industry.

EXCELLENT ! And ditto Roxy. I don't think any country has the seal of humanity - no pun intended - the US just galls me with their illusions of "humanity." But on a much happier note : since campaigns against seal hunting began, dropping from a value of $232,000 CAD in 2009 to $66,490 in 2011. Impressive, and hopefully, a big fat zero in the future !
