Fifteen years ago, it finally hit me that cigarettes weren't hurting just me. I haven't looked back.

Good for her to try and quit. . It is true that smoking, or even fumes from cigarettes, as well as burning leaves (in the backyard), or even barbequing can effect the natural environment of wildlife, birds, cats and dogs. Thanks, Cher for this post.

Noted. This is the reason I quit! I had a cat die of cancer. It probably wasn't even related, but it was the incentive I needed.

I quit mainly for my own health, but the cats were a thread in my decision. Although I smoked on my enclosed porch, that's where my cats hung out. I did notice their fur smelled of smoke, and of course, their was the issue of second hand smoke. I think we are all much happier (and healthier) in my decision to pack up.

Passive smoking exposure is deadly for humans and animals.
Improve your health and that of our animal friends by quiting smoking.

Smoking around cats can be dangerous. A friend of mine smokes but stays away from her cat.

Michel died from lung cancer but the vet said it could have been pollution or house cleaning chemicals.

Pet owners do not realize how smoking can harm not only the people around them, but their animals, too.

My daughter kicked the habit after trying twice and failing, finally succeeding with ecigs. She said electronic cigarettes relieved her stress while getting off tobacco. http://www.electroniccigarettereviewguru.com/best-ecig-brands.html has reviews of the top 20 brands.
