signed. I have a love/hate relationship with Japan.
admire their artwork,flower arrangement,tea ceremonies,etc.
Cannot understand their obstinance about whaling, they are smart people,so why don't they get it?
It's not nuclear physics to understand there are a finite amount of whales left, and they are doing their best to obliterate the whale at all costs...what did whales ever do to them?

Noted and petition signed ! I can't understand, either, why the Australian Navy can't intervene while the whalers are in Austrlian waters ...... it's not like they'd be declaring actual war on Japan, is it? Thanks Christeen !

The Japanese people aren't exactly in love with whaling:

http://www.ifaw.org/united-states/news/japan%E2%80%99s-appetite-whale-meat-wanes-along-support-whaling

I read in an expose of whaling by a Japanese journalist that the mob is behind it, although I didn't find the information when I searched for it.
