Some dogs suffer serious health and welfare problems for large parts of their lives just because they've been bred for their looks.

Signed & noted, thanks Cher. It's the "American Kennel Club" that has continued "requiring" certain features on different breeds. Along with breeding purposely for genetic mutations, as in smashed faces, short, bowed legs, bulging eyes, bad backs, either too long or too short, they are the reason certain breeds have to have their tails cut off/docked, ears cropped/cruelly cut off & re-shaped. I believe the European Kennel Club may be more lenient, & not require the same standards as our AKC. I used to work for a vet, so I know first-hand how much these poor dogs suffer, & some have so much trouble breathing, as well as not being able to give birth without having a C-section. There is no domesticated animal that has ever been more manipulated by humans, than our beloved dogs.

What we do to animal we "HUMANS" would not do to ourself the Nazi's tried in ww2 on the Jews at the dearth camps an the hold world when off the hook so what makes a human better than a dog or cat you know we are all build from the same building blocks of life if it is OK to breed a dog or cat for looks then we need to do the same to humans breed for better looks it is only fair OH I said "FAIR" humans do not know what the word fair is if we did we would be living in better world. =^..^=

Signed -these breeders are not animal lovers -they maim and distort these poor dogs ,after watching on tv.a dog show -in England and what they have done to the beautiful german shepherd -it was down in the back legs -not walking with attitude -was disgusting ,I have had the privilige of having two of these -beautiful- loving-- devoted animals in my life and I could have cried as to what they have done to them for -greed -prestige -and -ego.

S&N - these inhumane monsters are absolutely retarded - they need to have plastic surgery done to them, cut one leg shorter, a couple of fingers off, deface them as they do to these poor animals. I have never heard of such utter sickening practices.

Signed and noted, our Rotti will appreciate this, a very old breed very loyal and protective. Just as the Romans found him in Rottweil, Germania, a cattle dog. Their popularity is rising, and if looked after and trained well they are a real friend, not to mention the sleak beautifull shape of their body, the long legs and not to forget the sight of a Rotti in full flight 'running mode' Wow, all of his white teeth are flashing. In the end he knocks me over (no big deal, I am 73) and we have a ball and great respect for each other.
A dog owner is only as good as he treats his dog, and a dog of any kind will only treat his master as good as he treats him. And that in very simple terms is the difference of a vicious dog or man's best friend.
With patience and training our 15 month old Rotti is becoming a very valuable member of my family. He is also is the door bell, and alarm bell. At 7 am he licks my face, poo poo, pee pee time. I wabble outside with him, he does his business and straigh back next to my bed, He gives me a chance to give me and himself another couple of hours of sleep. You have got to love this. I do.
