I noted & signed; but this petition has very little chance of making any impact whatsoever. In the first place,(1) Kansas is solid (approx. 80%) (G)reedy (O)bstructionist (P)lutocracts, red to the core. (2) Sam Brownback returned from Congress to become KS current governor. The horrible draconian measures that he has put into operation effecting education in general & this issue in specific are too numerous to list in this format. He is destroying public schools, student education quality, teachers & teachers' unions & bargaining rights. I was a teacher in KS for nearly 20 yrs; retirement rescued me just in time.(3) KS has oil & natural gas deposits & has long ago sold out to oil corporation interests When the oil company contaminated the groundwater & our private well from which our family drank, we had had enough & moved away from KS last year. Though we filed complaint with the state regulatory agency, nothing was ever done. How deep is the denial of most Kansans? Unfathomable, I think. Dorothy better stay in Oz if she wants clean water to drink. Friends who still live there write that the dust drifts were fairly deep last summer, heat unrelenting w/ no rain. The Dust Bowl is returning; & still there are those who will deny.

done, its a teacher's job to teach the truth (science) and not give opinions that are not substantiated.....if they wanted to do that they could and should have gone into the ministry.

I think us parents should start educating our kids from pre-school....you ca never start too early

How tragic is that Kansas is denying their children such important knowledge that could some day improve their state, keep people from dying and creating better lives for their children who will be able to make better decisions as adults if they are allowed to have access to this important learning!
