Japanese makeup company Shiseido has banned animal testing for its products and vows to only test on animals on the off chance that an ingredient is deemed unsafe, according to Women's Wear Daily (WWD).

It says that they will still test on animals when ingredient is deemed unsafe, I say ban all animal testing!!!

Although this is a step in the right direction, it does not mean all testing on animals will stop with Shiseido. If a product is deemed unsafe for humans, they will still torture some poor animal. They need to commit to 100% non animal testing as do all other companies. Thanks Cher.

So glad to hear that Shiseido has made this decision! There isn't any need for any company to test on animals. It is horrific and there are better alternatives that don't involve the use of animals! It is totally needless suffering! EVERYONE should boycott companies that still test products on animals!

I was happy to read the headline until I read the following:
