Hydroponic gardening is emerging as a popular hobby since it provides many advantages over traditional soil gardening. More gardeners are interested in growing their own food, indoors, all year round with this soilless method.

Simply watering your plot will release those nutrients so they can be used by plants. Hydro is not much different except you aren’t enriching a growing medium but rather enriching your water with the equivalent nutrient content then watering an inert growing medium. The formula is the same either way – water + nutrients = healthy plants.

Most of us do it without thinking much about hydro. Good article.

We buy a lot of our peoduce at a local hydroponics farm. Great not to worry about chemicals and pesticides ~ or the bugs you often find in store=bought produce.

It is a great alternative to supermarket veggies that are grown who knows where in who knows what. As long as those growing are ethical enough to make sure how their water is treated and what and where there nutrients come from and there composition.

What are these pipes made of? Are we looking at another product that cannot be recycled? Personally, I love to see my plants in the soil; it's more natural looking.
