Birds can be very emotional and expressive. I had pet ducks who were very affectionate. I am not surprised by Sven, but he definitely had a special personality. Go Sven!

A beautiful touching and perceptive story about the depth and complexity of animals' emotions! I love Sven. I wish more people were as empathic as this goose- his ability to love and care about others really gives us pause to reflect about our relationship to all animals and how we need act with much more respect for their lives and feelings.
