Only a moron could possibly think this is a good idea. My God, even the North Dakota Republicans protested this (going through their stste). Shame there are so many morons in government.

And this will only create about 50 permanent jobs. Criminy, even Little Orphan Annie would know that, but maybe not Daddy Warbucks.

Signed. I've also sent a comment to the State Department--according to an email I received, the State Dept. is accepting public comments for a limited period of time. Send them to: keystonecomments@state.gov.

It really ticks me off that the latest report supposedly by the State Department was actually written by a company hired by TransCanada.

Tried to sign and was unable too. Goodness knows I have signed on many other sites regarding this particular issue, it is too important not too. Frucking/fracking if allowed to go thru will bring on so much long term devastation. And it will perhaps not be seen or felt by us boomers but rest assured it will by my grandsons generation. That angers me beyond belief that we are going to leave such damage for their future.

What it will do is make the employees at the refineries in Louisiana and Texas more productive, and that is not a bad thing. I suspect the numbers of jobs in the long run may be greater than the nay-sayers believe, but far lower than the boosters think. My guess is between 500 and 2000. And the Republicans who are proposing this realize that these are Red State jobs, which can be given to supporters. However, the proposed route for the pipeline goes right over the Ogallala aquifer, which is not a worthwhile danger. And the companies are not interested in the more sensible alternative which is building new refineries where the oil is.

Can't you just hear the flagrant, outrageous excuses?
'We didn't know about the damage the pipeline would create?'
'We were just trying to furnish energy to our citizens.'
Of course, they were, all the while they were lining their pockets with PAY-OFF money.

it never ends, as long as these narcissistic politicians are in office; and, since we know that _most_ will fall in this trap, we must not re-elect them.

WILL WE NEVER LEARN?

Thanks Cher, From what I've read in other places, the State Department is leading where the money is, by Not taking into consideration any data that could point against the Keystone KL. They could give a rats ass about any environmental damages on this planet. One article I read quoted a person who said" The Keystone XL is not even on the Presidents desk" of situations that need to be considered critical.

A vast majority of Earth’s species is now extinct. There is no special dispensation for the Human branch of the primates. With scorching temperatures, rising oceans, not enough food, or water what good is money, and systems that serve few at the expense of many?

Future-shaping Power is us and it is now. The fact that we can understand this Compels us to Cooperate, Align on purpose for the collective good of our species and home planet, while we still have the huge advantage of FORESIGHT, and Wiser action to ensure harmless political, financial, legal, religious, and ecological decisions.

Crimes against humanity are intensifying, along with threats to natural systems upon which all life depends for survival, so why do we endorse them through apathy, denial, fear, separation, resistance, and lack of Wiser action together?

When someone is drowning in quicksand do they want to be told they are drowning or do they want a rope? I suggest the Rope is a Common Law Court verdict of Guilty rendered by 33 Citizen Jurors in Feb 2013 against the Vatican, Queen of England, Prime Minister of Canada, and other heads of church and state, for crimes against humanity and genocide. The Court is not a substitute for the rest of Humanity, it is a catalyst to raise awareness, for Humans to reclaim personal power, end all harm, restore coherence, justice, and profound reverence for all life.
