The National Audubon Society suspended freelance writer Ted Williams for publishing an article in the Orlando Sentinel- to advocate that citizens get rid of cats by poisoning them with a common over-the-counter medication.

I am very happy that you have taken these steps to show that you do not support Mr. Williams ideals and are making sure that the public is aware that his statements should not be taken to heart, whereby you are preventing people from harming innocent cats. I am a proud member of the National Audubon Society and the idea that this harmful article was sanctioned by you would have caused me to end my membership with you.
