Tessa woke up blind one morning and her owners, not knowing what to do, abandoned her at a shelter. A blind dog in a shelter doesn't usually have much of a chance, and depending on the shelter (and overcrowding), a dog might only have a few days to find

Poor baby. Horrible to dump her and not care. One day karma will get them and they will be alone and abandoned. No animal should be seen as disposable. I hope this sweetie finds a loving home.

What kind of person abandons a sweet, sensitive dog like Tessa? She deserves to find a loving and responsible person who will not run out on her at the first sign of trouble or expense.

I think Tessa has a good chance. She's too pretty to not be adopted.

I hope she finds her forever home soon! What a cruel thing for her owners to dump her when she's at her most vulnerable, unbelievable!

People that dump their pets are not animal lovers, they are scum and don't deserve a pet. They should never be able to get another. Animals have feelings too, much more than many people. Thanks Cher

Noted - and the owners should be taken and their eyes removed - so that they can feel what this poor little dog feels - I so wish I could take her, I have an almost blind maltese who is so precious. I pray that God sends one of His animal angels to give her a wonderful home.

Super story! I don't understand her owners .. "not knowing what to do" .. I don't see abandonning your dog as an option I don't know all the facts .. perhaps they had no choice .. veterinary fees can be astronomical, etc. I'm just happy there was a happy ending to this story. Tessa .. what a love!

The people who left her at the shelter are full of BS, they said "We did not know what to do when she went blind!"

Well let me help them with this, "You take her to the Vet and get her HELP!!"

Bad enough poor Tessa woke up blind, but that wasn't the end of her misery it seems. What kind of garbage throws away a blind dog? A person without a heart or conscience. I hope she finds a good and loving home.
