Great News! - Still so much to do, so many projects, that one can never rest easy on the laurels of one success story.

2013

Nearly 400 bears rescued from lives 'of dancing' are receiving special care and treatment in centres managed by Wildlife SOS, International Animal Rescue and Free the Bears, with the Indian government. Without your fantastic support these bears would not have been given a brighter future.

Good news. It is also important to note that WSPA also tries to get the former bear owners a new livelihood- how is a person supposed to care about a bear if their own family is hungry and has no medical care?

I saw this HORROR outside Agra and SCREAMED at the man who was making the bear ''dance." He looked blankly at me---this was his living.

Good news, now it's time to go after those that milk bears for their bile. That is a cruel and tortured existence.

Absolutely fantastic news! So happy to hear this! Now we really need to focus on shutting down the entire bear bile industry and freeing those poor bears that are still suffering so much every minute, every hour, every day, and every year of their lives for 20 years and then when they no longer can produce bile, they are killed! Thank you for sharing this good news about no more dancing bears!

This horrendous cruelty should have ended years ago. Glad that its being stopped now and that the bears are being cared for but really, this should never have been allowed to go on and on. These poor animals - how could they even defend themselves against barbarians like us.

I am so glad these bears are released from such a horrid life! At least now, they can just be 'Bears' and NOT 'dancing bears.'
