So why are we shipping this rotten oil? -Oh yeah, the darn NIMBYs murdered the nuclear power initiative and the government flubbed the wind and solar initiative. Other great examples of incompetence include using toxic lithium, lead, and cadmium battery systems in electric cars instead of low-toxicity Edison nickel iron batteries and the absolute moronic treason of gun control laws!
