These seemingly random noises get my cats moving like kids chasing an ice-cream truck.

Oh yeah, the printer makes them crazy and the running water, any where in house. Just not when it's bath time.

Only two. The can opener ~ running to. The vacuum ~ running from. Thanks, Cher.

None of my cats respond to any of these sounds but I've had cats that did. One cat, which I adopted when he was at least 2 years, used to run to me at the sound of a potato chip bag. He loved potato chips. His previous owner must have feed him those. I seldon kept them in the house, but if I did have them, stored them and ate them in the garage because I knew they weren't good for him.

lol, thanks for sharing.
My girl Sh'asta runs to the sound of a can opener - her favorite canned food? Beans in tomato sauce. She's also a nut for plastic or paper bags. A new paper bag is awarded monthly when she's torn the old one up.

Just the sight of a can, tuna, sardines, gets my 2 thinking its for them. Popping a lid on any can, gets these beggers running.

Mine hate the water running, because they think I'm going to give them a bath.

Fabulous. The food preparation. Also, the flushing of the toilet is a big winner bringing major excitement.

Kirby and the girls came running if they heard the bathtub water or the Pounce treats can. Especially my Ezzie-Wezzie. I soon learned it wasn't the treats she wanted, it was the aluminum foil that kept the freshness in! So, like a good Mama, I took off the aluminum foil, shaped it into a wopsided ball, and tossed it in the middle of the room and Ezzie batted it around, chased after it, threw it up in the air....she entertained me, Kirby, Coco...until Mama Cat came in. Mama Cat had a flat tail, and she was my ferral child !!

The gay parade is one of the loudest things in the world. We live on the parade route. Michel used to sleep right through it as if it was a lullaby.

Hilarious! Thanks for posting. Our cats hste the vaccum cleaner and run when they hear it coming, but they love it when I open up a can of wet food.
