Bees are responsible for pollinating one in three bites of food we eat...and they're in trouble. Since the mid-1990s, they've been dying off in droves around the world.

The petition organized by Avaaz to prohibit? Use of neonicotinoid pesticides in the U.S. and in? European Union has already passed the million signatures. These pesticides are usually used in some crops such as corn and vineyards for the Prevention of flavescenza golden.

The Initiative aims to convince America and Europe to join the ban of these substances, so that other governments around the world will follow the? Example.

The bees are dying worldwide and our entire food chain is in danger.
In recent years the population of this insect has a significant global decline: some species are now extinct and others arrive only 4% of their previous number. Scientists are racked my brains to find the answers. Some studies consider that the decline is due to a combination of factors, including disease, loss of wildlife habitat and toxic chemicals. But research first floor have produced incontrovertible data that blame the neonicotinoid pesticides.

In the four European countries (France, Italy, Slovenia and Germany) have begun to ban these poisons, some bee populations are recovering. But the chemical, Bayer in the first place, they are bringing heavy pressure to keep the killer pesticides on the market.

Bees are essential for life on Earth every year pollinating plants and crops with an estimated value at $ 40 billion, more than a third of the food supply in many countries. Without immediate action to save bees we could remain without fruit, vegetables, nuts, oils and cotton.

I have signed petitions to save the bees as well as to ban the neonicotinoid pesticides. I would prefer that growers did not use any pesticides or herbicides. The toxic chemicals don't just hurt the bees.

Signed for the bees. Don't have many here because of the chemicals that are sprayed on the orchards and the "perfect" yards. But My balcony still has a family of wasps. Not the mean ones. They look like skinny bees, never attack me and love/fertilize my balcony garden.

Gladly signed. Please use pesticides sparingly and only if extremely necessary. Never spray when bees are present. Plant a sequence of flowering plants so nectar is available over many months. Thanks.

We did it -- Europe just banned bee-killing pesticides!! Mega-corporations like Bayer threw everything they had at this, but people-power| science and good governance came out on top!!

Today, I will fix my bee for the summer
