OMG- what a gut wrenching, grieving mournful sound.

No hissing? No swatting?

Not unlike a howling wolf.

Sometimes we just have to talk things through.

I woke up this morning to similar sounds from my two neutered male cats, one on the bed, the other on the bed side table. Where these lynx eventually departed, my two started taking swings at each other and I had to break up the fight.
Very cool encounter to be able to witness.

Very civilized dispute really. I like how the smaller one just walks away and the larger one just let's him...very dignified. lol

We have a Siamese cat that periodically comes to our house to raid the catfood bowl, and our two cats hiss, howl and actually wrestle violently with it. These lynx seem pretty tame in comparison.

Yes, cats and big cats often swear at each other and leave it at that, often a good screaming match is all that it takes. "Take that back or my link to your Lynx phone will be severed! That statement was just not pawlitically correct and I am purrfectly annoyed!"

I agree, Kathy- that was EXTREMELY tame. If it was a cat fight- it's the first I have ever see where they just sit down

I don't think they are wise guys because they backed down!

That was so cute. Looks like he cats felt obligated to put on show. Neither one meant business.
