Tubby and Linus were inseparable since birth. When Tubby was gone, it took something extraordinary to bring Linus back to his old self.

Awww! This story has a doubly happy ending for Linus and the kitten.

I don't know how it is that certain cats really take to each other. My first cat Newton became ecstatic when I adopted my second cat Dudley. They were BFF even as more kitties came to live with us over the years. When Newton died Dudley searched for him. Since we'd often visited my mother next door, Dudley began to spend time at her house sitting in the chair that Newton had often used. Now I have cats who are completely disinterested in one another. They never fight but the most they do together is travel around the yard as a pod from time-to-time.

This story is sad, but I'm glad that Linus has found some comfort in the little kitty.

The story made me cry but glad Linus has a companion. Imagine what a mother cat feels when her babies are taken from her. Humans can be so cruel. How can a mother ever get over the lost of her babies, and how the siblings get over being separated forever from their mom and brothers and sisters.

When my oldest died, his buddy was in a state of confusion as I didn't return home with him. Every noise would have him jumping up to see if it was Spanky. For days, he wouldn't eat as they both ate together, and he would "wait" for SpanKY to come and eat. It broke my heart.
Like humans, time heals wounds. I brought home a 3 week year old kitten 4 months later, and that made a world of difference - he had a new pal to love.

Our torby Chloe who died last year had a special relationship with Echo the tabby, she used to wash him even though he was twice her size. Cute.
