Millions of animals are being harmed and consumers misled by this failure to accurately label food products -- and this is a matter critical to public and animal health. Please contact the USDA and ask them to act today!

Noted, emails below sent, twittered and google shared. Thanks for Chering.

To whom it may concern:

I am writing to you today to respectfully request that you take immediate measures to stop the use of mass antibiotics in all factory farmed animals. While it may be cost effective to the big Agribusinesses, it is extremely harmful to the animals and it is putting consumers at a huge risk. Not knowing what is in the foods we eat is unfair to consumers and it is unethical for these big businesses to hide the facts from the people who are consuming their products. With all of the resistant superbugs emerging, now more than ever, people need to be able to make informed choices about what they are feeding their families.

There are so many different health issues facing people today and it is vitally important to know what types of drugs are being given to factory farmed animals because the effect on individuals who already have health issues could be devastating. Transparency is paramount to the health of this nation's people and it is your job to protect us from foods that could harm us and practices that are unethical and dangerous.

It is also extremely harmful to the animals themselves. Living in such confined spaces, lack of room to move, unsanitary conditions and being poorly fed are having damaging physiological effects on the animals and it is putting their immune systems at risk. This is then transferred to consumers who are trusting that you are looking out for our best interests, not big Agribusiness.

Please, use the power of your positions and do what is right for consumers and for the factory farmed animals that are already living a life of hell.

Whether it is anti biotic resistant super bugs in the food chain, or GMOs, people are being sacrificed on the altar of more profits.

Anti biotics are routinely given to animals for growth, but in doing so, the bugs become too familiar with them and the anti biotics lose their effectiveness, in fact become more effective at creating bugs!

Here is an article I posted on GMOs "How Monsanto Is Using Cronies in Congress to Take Away States' Rights to Label Genetically Modified Foods"
and a link within the Alternet article to a petition "Tell Congress: Don't Pass a Farm Bill that Lets Monsanto Wipe Out State GMO Labeling Laws!"
