Great pictures! I am hoping Chinese actress Li Bingbing can help put some sense into the Chinese people about the slaughter of elephants. Perhaps they will listen more to an entertainment figure from their own country. Fingers crossed, although it will take more than that...but maybe a good start.

Very beautiful and special shots. We all need to value nature so much more than what we collectively do.

Of all these impressive pics this one, #7, really caught my attention:
Thousands of Arctic birds congregate on a stepped cliff face on Franz Josef Land, Russia. The guillemots swoop onto tiny ledges no more than a few inches wide to make their nest away from the harsh Arctic winds. An estimated 55,000 birds breed on this 650ft cliff, making it the biggest colony on the the archipelago. The spectacular sight was spotted by wildlife photographer P l Hermansen, 57, from a Russian icebreaker ship.
WOW!! These birds risk their lives to reproduce!! Amazing and Awe-Inspiring!! Thnx Cher!!!

Fascinating, interesting frogs and other photos. Very scenic areas where some of them live, would love to visit many fabulous vistas and watch the sunsets and wildlife as they should be.

Wow Cher it's one of the best photo collections ever! I really like the caption of the elephant photo, "Elephants crossing the Ewaso Nyiro River in Samburu game reserve in Kenya. Chinese actress and UNEP goodwill ambassador Li Bingbing has joined the campaign to raise awareness of how demand in China is fueling the killing of elephants in Africa." I hope it's not too late for elephants.
