Rescued From Greyhound Racing: Lewis' Story

The life of a racing Greyhound is often short and painful. Every year, thousands of young and healthy Greyhounds are euthanized because they are no longer deemed worthy racers, but some of the lucky ones make it to Greyhound rescues.

I'm so happy for Lewis, but, sad for all the others that are killed and not given a chance to have a better life.

Noted with thanks.

Lewis's story has a very happy outcome but for so many greyhounds, their lives are tragically cut short.

I have rescued many greyhounds over time and they are so gentle & loving..
A lovely companion animal, without any demands.
Though they enjoy taking exercise &to have a good run, they're quite laid back dogs & don't clock watch as some breeds do, demanding to be exercised, one can even get away with just a short walk, if neccessary..
They're known to settle down after kennel life & make themselves at home on a comfy chair, where they'll happily snooze all day long.. I haven't ever had any problems with this lovely gentle giant..
I just wish others could see past their size, when considering a rescue dog.. Despite their size, they don't cost a small fortune to feed. I can recommend them to everybody.
I am certain that Lewis will now have the quality of life, he so richly deserves... God Bless them All.

No home should be without a beautiful, graceful, elegant, greyhound... :-)

I would certainly like to see these poor, used up animals receive a better chance at life. Thank you.
