While Ty reclined drowsily in the back of Vernon Yates' white pickup, about a dozen reporters and photographers stood less than 2 feet from his open cage, snapping photos of him - and of themselves, standing within inches of the 400-pound Siberian tiger

Good to hear Ty has been looked after.
Has anyone noticed the eyes of the tiger in this posting? They're little Earths.
Thanks Cher :")

I'm no mathematician, but I have a 13 pound cat who horks up hairballs on a distressingly regular basis. It makes me gag, but it's just something normal that they do. If I divide the tiger's 400 pounds by my cat's 13, I get a ratio of 30.77 to 1. If I divide the tiger's 4 pound hairball by the same figure, I get .13 of a pound, a bit more than a couple ounces. My cat putting that amount on the carpet wouldn't surprise me at all, unless I stepped on it in my bare feet...

That is a lot of hairball. Poor Ty, having to put up with a hairball that size, best wishes for Ty.

This was on national news. Hope Ty will be OK and maybe they should start feeding him something that will make the hairballs pass more easily.

Hairballs seem to be a cat problem, how do they cope with it in nature? Different diet maybe.
