That little cub is just beautiful. Though just as I question every thing about interference in the very normal birth of humans that is so corrupted by the Medical Industry. I question why any baby human or any other animal to be kept in a germ free environment, not feed from it's mother but some kind of "milk" by humans. I get it with OB's they are trained to be surgeons and have no clue that the vast majority of babies are born without their interference, but now tiger cubs too

Kit - we visited the cub today at the zoo. The reason for all the special care is that she was born (prematurely, I believe) to an older mother (55 in human terms). The zookeepers were not aware that the tiger was pregnant (and it was a real long shot, given the mother's age!) until she actually gave birth. There was a second cub that presented breech and died during the birth process. The mother was in no position to care for or feed the cubs .. so, the humans took over. I'm sure they would have left the cub with the mother if she'd been in any position to do so, but she couldn't. The most humane thing to do was to step in and care for Tiger Lily and keep her in a safe, caring environment.
