"If I still believed in the usefulness of animal experiments, I would say: Let's do them. However, I've come to realize that they are not only useless, but moreover highly damaging for medical science, owing to their unreliable results. So if I advocate the abolition of vivisection it is not because I am concerned about animal suffering, but out of my concern for human health."
Professor Croce, former vivisector

"I abhor vivisection. It should at least be curbed. Better, it should be abolished. I know of no achievement through vivisection, no scientific discovery, that could not have been obtained without such barbarism and cruelty. The whole thing is evil."
Dr Charles Mayo, Co-Founder, Mayo Clinic

"The real choice is not between dogs and children, it is between good science and bad science; between methods that directly relate to humans and those that do not."
Robert Sharpe, Ph.D., The Cruel Deception.

Signed. Look at the picture that goes with the petition. Get it squarely in your mind's eye. Now see that the monkey is a human child. The pain and torment are the same. I don't support this kind of animal experimentation even if it were to lead to something useful for humans.

I don't know how any human being with a heart can do this to helpless animals who were given no choice. Shame on them. This is the height of cruelty, and abuse. Stop doing these things to these animals. If you want test subjects, use each other, see how you like it.

OMG This university knows better. What in the hell are they doing? This is absolutely unnecessary. UCSF stop this barbaric, inhumane, uncivilized, cowardly training for future serial killers. They need to adopt dummies that provide immediate feedback. This is stupid unless you love hearing animals scream in pain. I would hate to see what we look like through the eyes of these tortured animals.

Signed. Vivisection is animal abuse/torture and murder. No animal should suffer and die for what humans do to themselves. Prosecute the vivisectors, lab owners and animal suppliers for their cruelty.

done. Once again these animals ( Primates) suffer and die for nothing. When will scientists learn this? Our physiology is not the same so the results will not be the same as if this were done on a human. Imagine the horror of vivisection and the horror of what these animals suffer daily due to human stupidity. No conscience-no soul
