I don't know where Spain gets the idea that this is a sport. This is horrendous animal abuse and torture. There was a time when feeding lions to Christians was a sport, but that didn't make it right. Come to the present time and stop doing this to helpless animals who have no choice in their destiny.

Action taken. This is not sport, this is slowing killing a animal who can hardly fight back after being speared by a man in tights. Boycott Spain everyone until they stop this poor excuse of tradition.

done. Spain calls this part of their culture. I call it cruelty when they bring a half dead bull into the ring after stabbing it several times. Make it fair-stab the matador too. WTF? This is too much now

Signed. Bullfighting isn't "culture"- it is a game for COWARDS! Let picadors on horseback stab a bull until he is weak from blood loss- then let Mr. Liberace-pants flail a cape at the bull until he is too exhausted to run anymore- pretend to be a big man and then stab the bull to death....Wow, great "culture"...

"While tradition is an important part of cultural identity, it should not be paid for with the lives of innocent animals. " !!!
Gladly signed & Noted & Thanks for posting Cher.

signed. The pervasive view that any being is subject to control and use and death by a human has been wrong for thousands of years. The ignorance is so disturbing. All humans whose third eyes are sealed shut simply must listen to heed the words of all those who have seen the truth: Pythagoras, john the Baptist, Jesus, Buddha, Rumi, Krishna, Plato, Socrates, Plutarch, Original Jewish Christian Sikh, Hindu, Egyptian mystics...etc...all were vegetarians or vegans and all warned humans against ever harming a single being while visiting this material realm.

Who knows--maybe they think bullfighting is akin to our baseball. If it's something like that, then they have no compassion or realization of what they're doing to the bull. I think bullfighting is hideous, but I also feel that rodeos are equally as hideous. Wonder why sick humans love to torture animals. The lengths they go to say a great deal for certain groups of people, and that's not saying much.

I signed and noted, of course.
I wonder if we could find a way to retain the culture by fighting a virtual bull that doesn't really ever die, but can be programmed to provide all the vicarious thrill of the actual fight while providing none of the cruelty.

Thanks Cher. Signed. I have signed many petitions such as this for many years now. But the Bullfights go on...Maybe, one day the idiots who sponsor/run them will have made enough money out of this hideous sport to retire and maybe then the bulls will not be slaughtered for 'sport' ?

Their national 'pastime and entertainment', downright disgusting. If torturing a bull, it bleeding to death full of spears is entertainment, the people who watch this 'pastime' are pure evil and the matadors are the devils spawn. This is not culture this is abuse and murder.
