Conservation groups led by the Center for Biological Diversity say a federal plan for Yellowstone grizzly bears puts their fate in the hands of states that are "culturally hostile" to large carnivores. The recovery plan could put grizzlies back on the

This is disgusting. They are simply trying to invoke fear into the public about the grizzly bear. They are not the ferocious creatures the media tries to portray. Leave them alone and quit taking away all their habitat.

It's outrageous how the feds are abandoning one species after another, ridding themselves of all accountability and pushing it all over to the states. Is their aim to get the endangered species list emptied out? Once in states hand, I guess the hunters will have their say.

Yellowstone, even in a stupor, would not help the bears in their park.

Research names of those who signed on to this idea, remember them, and let them know what you think next time they're up for election ... we have the freedom to vote (at least for now), make it count.

Just another excuse to start another war on wildlife. I wish to God people would get a life and let other species have a bit of peace!!!! A pox on all hunters and no-necks in government and in general.

When will we ever respect other creatures on our planet?

Disgusting. There are always people who love shooting at animals. For the fun of it. Wolves, now grizzly bears. Those hunters should also be the target of other hunters for once. Why not? It might also be fun.

Leave those grizzly bears alone. Human beings are more dangerous.

WE NEED TO PROTECT ALL OUR WILD LIFE........OR THERE MAY BE NONE LEFT....ALL THESE ANIMALS ARE IMPORTANT OR GOD WOULD NOT HAVE CREATED THEM...THEY ARE ALL IN THE CIRCLE OF LIFE AND BALANCE NOT ENOUGH OF A SPECIES COULD MESS UP THE WHOLE LIFE CIRCLE. DIANA.

These bears are necessary for the natural balance, Mother Nature created them for a purpose and these bears need protection.

Noted. Protection should not go to the states, but should remain federal. In fact all protection of animals which cross borders or who their habitat in more than one state should be or remain federal. That is the only way to ensure a coherent protection policy. If you leave it to the states soon no (larger) endangered species will remain, because there is always some reason for some state to kill it off.

The bears have as much right to be where they are as we humans have to be where we are. Leave them alone. These poor animals, like many others, are so terrified of humans because of what we do to them that naturally they will try and protect themselves. Can we blame them.

People are always looking for a way to kill anything that they think gets in their way!

I think the feds are abandoning the cause because the Red states seem so hell bent to control their own destiny of pillaging the earth for corporate greed and second amendment rights to kill animals including grizzlies, wolves and anything else that slithers, crawls or growls. The general cultural attitude toward predators is a demonstration of ignorance. The killing of animals in today's world is an act of dominance, not survival. I guess it is a big deal to the animal killers to be able to destroy living things for a trophy.
