Scotland is pushing ahead of so many countries on issues of animal protection and climate change, good for them.

What a difference from most disinterested and non-commital countries ... years to propose and bring to finality, then years more before enforcement begins in earnest -- by that time there will be nothing left. How dumb are we?

I hope it works because being from Scotland every time I hear of an animal being poisoned, shot or trapped I realise how very stupid the ones who commit these crimes are and it breaks my heart!

Makes me kind of proud to be half Scottish. May the rest of the world take such action and there might be some hope after all. Thanks for Chering.

Nice Going, Scotland. Reading the article there seem to be a lot of ifs an buts, but it is still a step in de right direction.

I'm glad Scotland is leading the way on this issue. How I wish the indifferent SOBs in our government felt the same way----but for ALL creatures. This country is turning into a gun club with an insatiable desire to kill anything with wings or four feet. Two feet also, come to think of it.
