How completely insane this is...while in Toronto one of the biggest shopping malls just added extra security simply to search the massive parking lot to check 4 any animals and children left in hot cars. They should be ashamed of themselves. Def S+S-thx

I don't attempt to talk to people that lock animals or children in a car. Summer or winter, I call the police. There is no excuse, no reason and no justification. Animals and children are better left alone at home than locked in a car.

This employee is a hero and should be treated as a hero. Too many animals, and even children, have died in hot automobiles. People don't realize that in 20 mins the temp inside the vehicle will be 155 degrees. I spent a season working with a vet, and I was surprised that it got that hot that quickly inside a vehicle in the summertime. Put the one who fired this hero in a vehicle and lock it up and see how fast that person will want out of the vehicle because it is so hot he/she won't be able to even breathe.

If you have ever googled Walmart Shoppers, you will see alot of them aren't the brightest humanoids on the planet. Given that, the Walmart slave probably lost it when she saw the burned out bulb trying to fry the dog in the car.
If she doesn't get her crappy job back, she may see that getting fired from the Walmart Plantation as one of the best things that happened, and that a BETTER job will come along where she will be paid a LIVING WAGE!

Wal-Mart makes it so easy, to bypass their stores.
My amazement rests with the people who enter their stores. Usually, they are people trying to save money, and by doing so, they are harming themselves, indirectly.
There are many places to find products that they sell, at reduced prices, even food.

Do people realize that working for $7.25 per hour, at 40 hours a week, if you are fortunate enough, is $290.00, equalling approximately, $15,000 yearly.
Tell me, who in this day and age, can live on that?

Wal-Mart is extremely typical of Big Business, at its finest.

Noted !! Signed and commented petition !! This just underlines the greed and lack of respect which seems to epitomize Walmart !!!! ...... Thir law-abiding caring employees are worth MUCH MUCH MORE than the disgusting customer who complained !! Any decent employer would have backed the employee ..... or even just pointed out that what an employee does on their own time has nothing to do with the store ..... had I been the manager, I'd have ADDED my "tirade" to that of the employee !!! Glad we've got no Walmarts here !!!

You would think that compassion would be one of the personal qualities that an employer admires in their employees. To fire a woman that showed she cares about the welfare of an animal is shocking. I hope she takes them to a tribunal for unfair dismissal.

an act of kindness for the welfare of an animal should not be punishment but praise for stopping a death of a animal from a stupid owner who is the potential murderer YES reinstate the employee for we need not turn a blind eye for an animal in such a horrid condition and a slow death locked in a hot vehicle. this employee did right by the dog and should not lose her job or the like because she did a kind act.
