Death is always near, and teamwork is essential on the Serengeti--even for a magnificent, dark-maned male known as C-Boy.

Sounds like what goes on with humans too. We are predators, in our darkest basic nature there is no differance between us and the killers among other species. Our hope is that females of our species do not mate with the aggressive ones to pass on what (I would hope) be a regressive gene of killing. We need to educate our young to not resort to violence because we are better than that. We can use our intelligence and gifts for good. What a species we could be if we cooperated.

What a story. I didn't know this about lions. It would be hard for me not to stop a fight and to save the babies.

Wow. I hope that C-Boy and his "family" have long lives. I didn't know much about the life in the Serengeti before, but I know more and see why it is so dangerous yet beautiful.

My apartment has many and many a huggie animal.

I don't choose to have a pet because I'm 70 and I live alone with no one to check on me. I don't want my kitty to have to eat toes if you know what I mean.

I have many lions including their pet lambs.

The lion is certainly a chosen favorite of mine,

Yes, mother nature can be so cruel, but never like humans. The life of this boy it's for sure hard but better than being killed by a rich bastard who paid for the pleasure of killing you!!!!!

what a beautiful cat. May it lead a long and happy life. Which is safer anyway than in the hands of man.

Read and noted. My money's on C-Boy - he's a fighter and a winner, and a gorgeous male lion.
Thank you so much for this look into the big cats.
