It takes a Pennsylvania journalist to educate me on why so much poison ivy is growing along the paths and up the trees in my home state of New York this summer.

OH, S**T !! Like I don't have enough trouble with this nasty scourge? I live in the woods; the woods is full of poison ivy. I'm not even safe in my home because the critters carry the oils on their coats.
I agree with the article ~ when the dust settles poison ivy, noxious weeds and fleas, ticks, and roaches shall inherit the earth!

This has been THE worst year for poison ivy ever. It's everywhere I least expect to find it. I'm almost at the point of pulling up my ground cover, and starting again.

Be careful not to scratch yourself in sensitive area's if you may have been in contact with poison ivy :) My ding-a-ling ex did, haha!

Great, I get rid of two rats, just to come up against this crap. My consolation is though in small town MN, unlike Barbara D, I don't live in the woods. Noted with thanks.

I'm getting itchy just thinking about poison ivy. Lots of it around where I live.

I'll bet kudzu's also happy as a clam under climate change conditions. Of course, kudzu seems to thrive under any conditions whatsoever (I'm firmly convinced it would adore the vacuum of outer space....)
