Tigers and bears live in the last great primary forests of Russia's Far East. So do giant owls.

Very informative article, thanks Cher. Save the owl and you save the forest and all the many other creatures.

Thank you for sharingI I love owls! We have magnificent great horned owls along with some beautiful smaller owls that may be screech owls in the woods behind our home. Oh, and I forgot to mention a beautiful little deer family: a buck, a doe, and a young buck. I was stunned by their beauty and the fact that the entire family was together in our yard on the edge of a little ravine. More recently, I saw thtee bucks in a little church parking lot on a secondary road that our neighborhood connets to. Our home is thirty years old, but I fear for these lovely animals trying to survive when we have taken over so much of their habitat.

Thanks for good article, Cher. The owls are so lovely.
In Russia, it seems to me the only species should endanger is Putin. I won' sign to keep him though.
