Shaking off their reputation for lawlessness, these motorcycle enthusiasts want to save orcas from marine parks.

QfA: " ... The end goal is "a massive worldwide protest ride, where all bikers supporting us join up in each country and drive for charity on the same day," Lensen says. "It would be amazing to turn on the TV and watch groups of bikers all doing the same thing at the same time. I think it will wake up some marine parks and politicians..."
It could be great action! Fingers crossed Good luck.
Thank you Cher.

Wonder if they realize that there are many veterans riding motorcyles now, at least in America. That would be a good place to get the word out. Great story, wish all these bikers luck. Noted with thanks.

Sounds to me like a hell of a way to combine the lawlessness of the 1% clubs and the good deeds of the 99%.

Wonder if they realize that most, if not all of these animals would die if turned out into the ocean?

All beings taken into captivity must be returned to the exact place they were stolen from and families, societies they belong with and/ or if raised in captivity must be habituated to freedom in areas where friendly groups of their kind will welcome them.

Vincent Lensen has a cool passive-aggressive style
and the heart of a true animal activist.
David Kirby picks up every ambiance of the biker's world
in this article. I wonder if he has ever rode with a club...
Thank you Cher.

I am 100% behind them, anything that has even a slim chance of helping whales is better than doing nothing.

The intent is good here, but I doubt that a lot of the captive whales would survive long being back in the ocean.

I do remember seeing Lolita in the Miami Seaquarium way back in the early 70s. While I thought her tank small at that time, I was also introduced to an animal that I had never seen before, and thus became interested in. Had I not had that close encounter, I probably would not have been as interested in wanting to preserve the orca. Getting close up and viewing firsthand and learning from that encounter brings awareness to many people, and from that they hopefully will want to protect.

God Bless you all, and good luck, I know that biker groups when they get together for a cause can do a lot of good, in deeds and in publicity. Their actions will bring a lot of attention to this problem.....periiod.
