After 21 years in the service, including 2 tours in Iraq, James Glaser, a disabled war vet, suffers from PTSD. For him, the night sweats, the tremors, the nightmares and the emotional instability are a way of life and would be unbearable but for his

This really sucks. Mr Ireland needs to uphold the laws on therapy dogs. They do not need to be muzzled or harnessed. My very good friend has a disablilty dog for PTSD...a Rottweiler. The dog goes everywhere, is well behaved, and helps greatly with anxiety. PTSD is just as much a disablilty as losing a limb. I really hope they do boycott his establishment until he truly accepts all those with therapy dogs.

This is outrageous. This should not happen to any disabled person who's dog is wearing it's service outfit.
Sorry to say, many people are starting to fake now, saying their dogs are S.D. when they are not.

So many people have an attitude of dogs should be not seen or heard.People are so intolerant nowadays.I must have had more visits from the dog warden in the last 15 years from complaint after complaint.I dont think a yorkie or an old English sheepdog is actually going to eat a whole person. But these people love to complain and get attention.Have you ever seen so many kids freaked out when a dog walks by them.I blame the stupid parents.Educate your kids about animals and stop putting the fear factor into them.Soon dogs will be banned from everywhere.Give me and my dogs some peace..

An A** is an A** no matter which species, and I do apologize to the animal species. Don't have FB acct or I'd be over there. If I'd been in that diner I would have cancelled my order and walked out with Mr Glaser and his wonderful dog...then invited him to breakfast at a higher class restaurant, my treat for one of our servicemen.

Nasty, I hope the restaurant gets a big boycott, the owner has no tolerance of others. There are some, despite official documents papers that prove the dog is a service dog.

Threats are needless and pointless and vigilante, let the police and the lawyers deal with this. I am sure that the adverse publicity will affect his business. Good!

In Century City near where I live they have a huge shopping mall with a cake shop called Limnos in it. They turned a blind man and his guide dog away - well, the next day I flew in there and gave them absolute hell - they turned round and apologised and said it was a huge misunderstanding. This is something I will definitely not tolerate!!

"I’ve even read numerous stories of police officers obviously being unaware of the law and forcing service dogs to be removed. Sad, sad, sad… especially when it’s a vet…"

...especially when it is anyone in need of a service dog! There are the 'obvious' disabilities, but what about autistic children with therapy dogs? Wasn't there an incident at a McDonald's where an employee punched the mother of an austic child because she brought the therapy dog into the restaurant?

I hope Glassers boycott makes a really big dent in Big I's business!

This is terrible to do to Veteran's, what these Soldiers have gone through and the horrific things they have had to see and endure, they and their Service Dogs should be welcomed always. We should always be thankful to them for their service and the sacrifices they have made, their lives are forever changed.
