The Harper government is actively supporting the construction of a new pipeline to take tar sands bitumen from Alberta to the BC coast and load it onto supertankers destined for Asia. The Enbridge 'Northern Gateway' pipeline proposal is now going through

As an American, I've opposed the proposed tar sands pipeline through the United States, especially through the state of Nebraska (where I live), so it just seems fair if I also oppose it on behalf of the Canadian people who also oppose it. (I’m pretty sure they’ve done the same on behalf of the United States.)

Of course, we have no authority to tell Canada would to do; however, their citizens do.
Once, the destruction starts, there will be little that can be done to stop it. It's the _same old, same old_, over and over, again. Big Oil will promise to fix the inevitable problems, and never will, because many of those problems are on-going.

Since, tar sands are the fastest growing source of greenhouse gases, one might say, 'It's their problem'. Considering their close proximity to the United States, it will eventually become our problem as well.

THE GREED JUST NEVER STOPS!!!

The only thing oil should be used for is lubrication. Every other use, including gasoline needs to be ended as soon as possible no matter the cost, because the cost of not doing so is exponentially greater.
