Although electric cars are still few and far between these days, it is slowly getting easier and more affordable to own and operate one. The PlugShare app lets electric car owners map electric vehicle charging stations, which are becoming more prominent

People might as well get on board with this idea, it's only a couple of years away. Two years ago to buy a Tesla sedan (all electric) was close to $300, 000. This years model for a family gets just under 300 miles per charge and prices start at $64,000, it's also been given the safest car award. Prices are coming down, safety features and better charges are improving each year. If you charge a car from sustainable fuel, it really is a clean car. -- Thanks Cher -- Your signature has been recorded.

Interesting I just double checked this and it has a signature space. Something is goofy. I was just tossed off by a glitch.

as long as your government and mine are owned by the filthy fuel companies, the electric car will struggle. hopefully voters will begin to grow brain cells soon and vote out coal and oil zombies

We must do something to move away from our dependence on fossil fuels. Electric cars may be the answer if we can produce enough Green electricity to fuel them.

I have always wondered.
Where does all the electricity for all of these electric vehicles come from?
Odds are a coal fired power plant.
Electric vehicles are a sad joke.

The good thing about electric cars is that they are rechargeable, and while, yes, the electricity does have to come from somewhere, at least we aren't throwing away huge, leaking car batteries all the time.

(We're throwing away smaller electric batteries instead... Okay, that argument doesn't really hold up so well, does it. All the same, it's better than sending pollutants into the atmosphere all the time,)

Whoa, wait a minute. Most electricity comes from coal which is more polluting than gas. Not a solution! As my grandpa used to say, jumping from the the fire into the frying pan. Maybe compressed natural gas might be better?
