It's fall, a spectacular time of the year, the last blast color before nature begins her sleep for the winter. Lovely pictures of trees showing off their colors.

For me, it's traveling on Route 80 towards the Delaware Water Gap into PA.

Though I don't like the colder weather that changes the leaves, I do enjoy looking at the beautiful colors it can make.

Great fall pictures. The Loire Valley would be especially magical when there's castles in the background. The tree in the Forest of Dean photo reminded me of the Ents - Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
I would imagine any forest would be beautiful in the fall. We, in MN, have the Northshore Drive, goes along Lake Superior and is fantastic, especially with the lake in view.

Sadly the way forest are being cut down these colors may only be found in pictures in the not too distant furture.

This is a colourful time from the paintbrush of Nature to be marvelled at, but I can wait because after the show is over with we get late fall followed by a long and cold winter where one can only dream of the welcoming leaves of Spring.
