Most of the talk surrounding hybrids in recent weeks has been about what overseas automakers are doing to make cars that work for the environment also work for the style-hungry consumer.

I have a hybrid, I brought it 2006. I'm thinking about another one next year. It's been a good car, no problems with it and it has 123500 miles and counting on it.

Two years ago, my cousin in Las Vegas had to wait 4 months to get his Honda nybrid. It has gotten better. In fact, when he came to visit iin Dec., Avis gave him a hybrid car.

But August car sales were up 32% overall anyway. Look at it this way, sales of Detroit 3 large pickups soared 22 percent, and total sales were 1,501,294 total sales of which 54,855 were electric. I think there is a long way to go (personally, I use public transport).
