Great story...
As an aside, divorce is our third biggest cause for an animal return. In my shelter, we have heard everythig From:"we both love him, and can't bear to have one or the other have him"; My wife/husband c hates the cat/dog, and I'm moving into an apt. that doesn't take animals." These are real people....
