The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has released its latest assessment of what science is telling us about the state of our planet. Researchers are more certain than ever before that humans are causing climate change and that some of its most

Every one should take the time to read the full report on PDF. We should thank them and ask they make more substantial and detailed suggestions to all countries on how to immediately begin constructive clean up.

Ben is correct, some of us have been active and involved with studying and trying to get the word out for more than 40 years. There is nothing new here but the continued destruction of our one and only environment, planet earth. Deniers are either very ill informed, have money to make by continuing this abuse of land, water and air or maybe they are just stupid.

Once again we have the phony "climate crisis of the moment" pitch by unscientific alleged "scientists" that have been consistently WRONG on their alarms as well as have many been on their weather guesses on what will happen tomorrow with the weather, All their models have been wrong, all their "alarms" wrong, and most are invested with political and/or economic baggage (like AlGore) that makes their claims suspect as well. Talk about junk science and being Luddites it is the ones pushing this farce!

Wonder what Spin the GOPTP will put on this...make that Lies.

Poor John, you have a very rude and rough awakening coming to you - maybe when you get flooded out every year, or when a tornado blows through your bathroom annually, or possibly when you get no rain for five or six years in a row, how about nonstop blizzards, when and where there never used to be snowstorms...sense a theme here??

Climate warming is real. We need to act on this now while we still have a chance.

Ben O. is right. I heard it in the 70's too. How much longer can we wait?

GGma Shelia D: What the "experts" at the IPCC don't tell you is there has been no "warming" for more than 15 years even with a slight increase in CO2 (you know what you and animals breath out and vegetation takes in). Apparently you don't remember some of the same "experts" were predicting "global cooling" back in the 70s which may be on the way if sun spot activity doesn't change. Not sure how the "human caused" sun spot activity is being caused but perhaps these "experts" will tell us after they explain why once again the hurricane season was "predicted" wrong AGAIN.

It will be too late to act when the glaciers which feed the rivers of hundreds of millions in South America and India and China have all melted - what do people think is going to happen - that these people are all going to lie down and die politely?! No - they will MOVE en masse to try and save their lives - and the chaos and wars that result will be awful.

The warming is a tragic reality but the most important industrial countries continue to refuse the Kyoto protocol.
