Thanks for posting this, but they have it written wrong, its going to end in Wisconsin on Lake Superior. Covering 20% of the world's water supply, along with the pressure to build the largest open pit mine in the Penokee Hills 21 miles long at 1000 feet deep alongside the coast of Lake Superior. This will RUIN the Water Supply for millions of people for thousands of years. The worst part of it is, 80 countries are standing alongside us First Nation People, but not the Americans? Its unbelievable how many turn away and hide to the fact that we are trying to kill the future of their own children by poisoning their drinking water. Apalling.

Terrible. First Nations of BC are heroic in battling Enbridge's effort pipe Alberta tar sands crude into Vancouver port which is too tighit and rocky and thus risky. Alberta First Nations are reporting illnesses associated withi the mining of the Alberta tar sands. And American top climate scientist - whose name I can't remember of course, who was with NASA for his career, has stated 'burning the Alberta oil field is 'game over' for climate." Enbridge does not care if the pole melts --- easier to transport that crude by ships, easier to drill for more oil under the polar seas. America's big oilers are no different. An analysis by Greg Pallast, an old fashioned investigative reporter (see for his book on billionairs and voting and something else, forget the name, natch), anyway - he researched who the Koch Bros had been so supportive of Tex. gov R Perry's presidential primary campaign , Perry wenyt back to TX grateful for his new national oprominance, fired the TX DNR chief whose study had concluded that the Ogalla aquifer would be at too high a risk for leaks, and was too imipoprtant to TX and neiboring states (where drought is a prob), oso denied approval for the Ksystone pipe...Enbridge was frustrated. G. Pallast was curious...why did the Koch Bros care that much ...(there were other maneuverings)..found they owned refinery or enormous portion of refinery specialized in heavy crude in TX port where the pipe was headed. Chavez had used to send Venezuelan heavy crude there, thil he quit because of fear the CIA was trying to kill the refinery needed crude. The Koch Bros, as people kinow now, heavily funded and extensively organized the Tea Party - (produced a start up handbook for leaders, press releases can fiond it online). Also ALEC, which writes -- churns out -- legislation that is anti tax, anti science of global warming, oand other pro private anti public stances. ALEC produced a curriculum that calls global warming a theory and similarly calls evolution a theory. I read that Texas public schools had purchased it. Meanwhile, Obama is approving various offshore drilling and Arctic drilling projects....and has gone from 2008 campaign platoform that included new energies based economy - new energies and new conservation tech based jobs a position of 'all of the above' types of energy. And has postponed the Keystone...very good...but not so far nixed it outright. My husband and I demonstrated in Washington DC woin Feb this winter. This was a rally convened by largely (350 = the gigatons of CO2 in atmosphere we can tolerate and keep our climnate) and Sierra Club...there were 325,000 demonstrators there from as far away as BC and Montana and South FL and Arizone..and Wisconsin and Maine - we drove from GA. When I got back to "Atlanta, nobody had heard of this except that '4 famous activists (Robert Kennedy Jr., lBill McKibbeni, and Michael Brune, handcuffed selves to White House fence and wre arrested 4 days berfore the rally/ NO news of the sheer size of this demonstration. So -- Care2 = so important in message passing. The main media does not, is too embedded.

Enbridge doesn't care about the 10 million people in S. Ontario and Quebec that a spill from its proposed Line 9 extension could cause.

For those in Toronto if you haven't heard, there is a meeting regarding the Enbridge Line 9 at St. Paul's Church, 300 Bloor West, Toronto on Friday, October 18, 2013 - 06:00 to 08:00 p.m.

On Saturday, October 19, 2013, there is a rally at the Metro Convention Centre, 255 Front St. W., Toronto, ON. It begins at noon.

If you are concerned about your fresh water sources come on down. The more the merrier.
