Instead of taking action to combat climate change, the new Conservative Environment minister used the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report to launch partisan attacks.

So this kind of nonsense is going on in Canada too--I'd hoped it was at least confined to our side of the border, which is bad enough (but meant it wasn't catching). As I've said about similar situations in the US, the climate doesn't belong to any one person, or party, or group of people, or organization. It doesn't belong to humans, either, whatever we may delude ourselves into thinking. Rather, the climate belongs to every creature, every plant, every organism on this planet. And we must all do our part to keep it healthy--which means establishing and keeping in place policies to prevent its decline!

And, to add to my above comment, a small number of people can have an enormous effect, positive or negative, on the environment.

We have to strive to make it a helpful, rather than hurtful, effect.
