A Dog Escapes From a Humane Society Shelter By Opening Doors Because, Well, Why Not?

Most dogs just don't walk out of a shelter through the front door -- but most dogs aren't like Rope.

When I heard this story yesterday I thought it was great. My only concern was then he was on the streets .

Everything turned out.I'm sorry about the person who found him wanting him so badly to adopt but of course if he had a good home ,he should go back home. Glad they microchipped him and at no charge.

The one thing I've been able to do for many people concerning the humane Society ,is when I find or their pets find me .Cats and dogs with no names or collars, worn out ones you can't read, etc... is call & ask the humane Society for free name tags at least for the owners animal and many times I have been able to get them microchipped at no charge. I would have paid for a name tag but it is an affordable option for the Humane Society to just give one out free.

I liked that story. Animals are THE BEST!!! They are so smart and they know so much more than people think.

TY Cher!!

Great job, well done Rope! (that's what they get for not locking the doors)

Now tell me that a dog's brain is smaller and lest knowledgeable than ours. I have always said that we underestimate a dog, or any other animal, ability to know what to do. Rope you are smart and welcome at my home anytime.

What a smart guy. It's too bad he didn't give lessons to the other dogs before he left. I guess when opportunity knocks one must answer right away.
