Thank you for the good news! We have a Camry that's twelve or thirteen years old. However, we replaced the van with a Ford Focus when the President offered the rebate, and its mpg rate is significantly lower that the van's mpg.

S & N, thanks, Cher. Think green when car shopping. Get the most miles for the buck. More electric cars are coming out and becoming very popular. I've been wondering though, does anyone know how far a car will travel on electricity to the equivilancy to a gallon of gas?

So far electric is totally impractical and FAUX green. Do people think that electricity used to recharge these short mileage cars comes from the ether. Face it, it comes from toxin spewing power plants. The cars are also impractical in the country as are the hybrids such as Prius. These things are too low slung to navigate the potholes common to dirt roads. I wish it were otherwise but this type of hype is silly and inaccurate.
