Seems to be happening evertwhere - politics vs environment and habitat...politicas, and money, seem to almost always win out - just look at America.

While Abbott says he accepts the reality of climate change, he seems hell-bent on dismantling the former Labor government's strategies to limit carbon pollution. He says he'll replace the carbon price mechanism with a policy of direct action. He has yet to specify what that means or how it will be implemented or what sort of reductions in carbon pollution may be expected from the strategy and what sort of target for carbon pollution reduction his government is aiming for... so much for transparency in government policy which he promised during the election campaign...Thanks for sharing Cher.

This new government has just taken several giant steps backward. I despair of politicians!
